As supporters of Collective Shout, the names Coralie Alison, Caitlin Roper and Melinda Liszewski should be familiar to you.
These three dynamos are the backbone of our movement: the commanders and strategists in the ‘war room’ as well as activists on the front line.
Coralie, Caitlin and Melinda help us achieve the amazing wins we have seen in the past year – like the recent victory over lad’s mag Zoo. You can see the roll-call of 2015 successes here.
After working voluntarily for years to establish Collective Shout as the remarkable force for change it is today, this year, for the first time, we were able to pay them. Coralie became our full time National Operations Manager, Caitlin and Melinda sharing our national campaigns manager role.
However, without an immediate infusion of new funds, we are faced with the unbearable prospect of not being able to retain one of our key staff.
That’s why, as a co-founder of this movement, I’m writing to your personally to ask for your urgent help.
At a time when, according to current research ads are more sexualised than ever, when the portrayal of girls as sexual objects is increasing the risk of depression, eating disorders and low self-esteem, when little kids are being exposed to porn and when corporates need to be reminded of their social responsibility, we can’t afford to lose any of our frontline fighters.If you want to keep Coralie, Caitlin and Melinda in the battle, please help us. We have a $50,000 shortfall to be able to keep them on next year.
