Miss Representation film screening Sydney May 16 – don’t miss it!

[UPDATE] Two tickets for the price of one for Collective Shout supporters

If you missed the first screening of Miss Representation in Sydney in September last year, don’t despair – we’re bringing it back for a return screening!

This film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the under representation of women in positions of power and influence, and premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

After a successful three day showing at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in March, Louiza Hebhardt Director of Equilibrium Wellbeing Services in partnership with Collective Shout: for a world free of sexploitation and other co-sponsors, will bring the film to Sydney for just one screening on Thursday May 16 at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre.

You can defend their right to childhood

Everyday our young people are exposed to more brands continuing to sexualise girls and objectify women. You can bring change to this sexploitation, stop companies from degrading women and prevent its devastating effects on young people.
