Parent Information Session with Melinda Tankard Reist

Melinda is a Canberra based author, speaker, media commentator, blogger and advocate for women and girls. She is well known for her work on the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls and efforts to address violence against women. 

A co-founder of Collective Shout: A World Free of Sexploitation, Melinda's commentary has been published and broadcast in Australia and overseas. She has chapters in a number of books including Steve Biddulph's Raising Girls (Finch 2013), and has been both a panelist on ABC's Q&A and a regular of Channel 7's Morning Show and Sunrise. 

Melinda will be running sessions with all Year 9-12 students throughout the day, including members of the Woodleigh Gender Equity Committee. She will also lead a professional learning session after school with all teachers before the parent session which will commence at 7:30pm.
