QLD Volunteer Dinner

An iconic rare treat in New Farm, Himalayan Café’s hospitable service and heart-warming Nepalese dishes have attracted diners all over Brisbane for numerous years. Walk through the bright red door of this Brunswick Street establishment to be immediately welcomed by a warm and rustic environment complete with timber furnishings, Buddhist peace flags and the aromatic smell of incense. The menu is traditional Nepalese with hints of Tibetan and Indian, featuring food made with love by Chef Purna Shrestha. Start with a plate of momo (steamed meat dumplings) to share before noshing into hearty dishes such as the rich goat stew and spicy chicken curry followed by a glass of banana lassi to finish.
