State Volunteer Coordinator
(this is a volunteer position requiring approximately 4- 6 hours per week)
Main Purpose of Position:
The fundamental purpose for this position is to engage willing volunteers in activities which further the work of Collective Shout. This role is a front line position and requires that you have extensive knowledge of the ethos, work and goals of Collective Shout.
Essential Functions:

Coordination of 2 volunteer teams in your state (public advocates and event supporters)

Ensure compliance with CS Volunteer HR policies and ensure all volunteers are aware of each policy and any rights/responsibilities they have personally

Provide resources needed for volunteers, and assist in the implementation of volunteer training program

Utilise the Collective Shout project management website (Asana) to ensure all volunteer interactions are recorded and their activities coordinated centrally

Provide weekly reports to the Volunteer Coordinator Manager on all volunteer activities.

Represent CS in public forums as required
Required Knowledge:
-
Familiar with the brand values, ethos and goals of CS

Powerpoint (or similar) / Email / Google Drive.

History and current campaigns of CS.

Familiarity with HR laws relevant to volunteers in each state (training provided)
Required Abilities:

Strong communication skills written and verbal

High level interpersonal and organisational skills

Experience in developing successful relationships and motivating volunteers

Time management, self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong administrative skills with good attention to detail to maintain CS database and provide internal report backs.
Required Experience and Training:

Must have been an active supporter of CS for more than 1 year.
Reporting
You will be a direct report of the National Volunteer Manager. A weekly summary of activity is to be provided to your manager either via weekly team meetings on in written form in our project management system.
