Win: No Mercy rape game removed from Itch

Following our campaign to expose pornographic rape simulation game No Mercy and get it removed from Steam gaming platform, we are pleased to report it has also been removed from Itch.

The game was geo-blocked from Steam in Australia after we made a complaint to the Australian Classifications Board. The game was illegal in Australia, given it had not been classified.

After we launched a petition calling on Steam to remove the rape and incest game from its platform globally, which attracted more than 70, 000 signatures and gained significant media attention, other countries started to act. No Mercy was taken down in the UK and in Canada before the creator finally withdrew the game from Steam. We responded to his statement here – and we are happy to report that his Patreon account has been shut down.

While misogynistic male gamers have certainly tried, there is no defence for an incest-themed rape simulation game for men and boys. On the plus side, many more people have made their voices heard in speaking out against this blatant endorsement of male violence against women.

We’re not done. Our campaign against games that encourage sexual violence against women will continue. Subscribe to our mailing list to stay up to date.
